It’s been a while since I have continued on my tour around the house….if you’d like to see other posts click here for my bedroom, here and here for the girls’ bedrooms and here for the boys’ rooms.

We are now downstairs and starting off in my favourite room of the house- the kitchen. It is my dream kitchen and ticks all the boxes….big, lots of open space, warm from the aga, central, over-looking the garden and with direct access straight out into the garden- I very rarely leave this room except to go to bed. Just before we moved to this house we bought a canvas painting by Rowena McWilliams and I knew straight away that I would like it in the kitchen….the pinks determined the rest of the room.

This is part of the huge canvas

This is the fabric used for the blinds and curtains in the kitchen

I had an old sofa re-covered in this fabric that I love

The glass kitchen table can be a nightmare to keep clean but an e-cloth soon solves that!

The footstool came from The Footstool Company

And a lovely smelling candle…..this smell is home to me, unfortunately it is virtually finished & I asked if it could be re-filled as there is a huge amount of glass there but was told no one has finished one before!

    1. It’s a huge one……I have a couple of smaller ones but I loved this one as the smell reaches throughout the whole house. I only discovered peonies about six years ago…they’re lovely aren’t they. 🙂

    1. Must admit I love it….put the sofa in just before the baby was born. Was perfect to feed from whilst being central to everything going on. :0)
