I love a party invitation dropping through the letter box. I like it even more if the invite says ‘Black Tie’ on it because it means I get the pleasure of planning and shopping for a beautiful dress that is extra special. Not just any dress but perhaps a sparkly one, long one or one that makes beautiful sounds, swishing as you walk. You can’t fail to feel good. Even better are Christmas parties because more often than not the expected dress code is Over The Top, the sparklier the better and then there are the accessories and the shoes…

I have always liked shopping and one of the first places I go to when looking for a special occasion outfit or dress is Coast. They have the most gorgeous dresses, skirts, shrugs and cover ups (always good for hiding those upper arms) and stunning jewellery. If I worked in an office this would also be my number one stop for elegant work clothes.

However, tis the season to be prepping for those work parties, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, and looking good doesn’t happen just like that…it takes careful planning. After all, you have just got to get the shoes right and the bag can make all the difference too. So, I have picked out all my fave outfits whether black tie, cocktails, family get togethers or even hot dates…of which I have many lined up. Not. 🙂 Hope you like them too.
