Time is whizzing by and I am on countdown to to the day that my last ‘baby’ starts school, full time. It only feels like yesterday that he was a tiny okay not so tiny as he was nearly 10lb, but that little curled up babe in arms. To say I feel ever so slightly sad is an understatement. He however is not sad and fortunately very excited. Anyway, we are trying to make the most of his free days before he is off in January into the big bad wide world. *sob*

Little M, who shall now be known as M has always been a little livewire. I never had to have a stairgate for his older siblings but M is a mischievous monkey. He likes to explore, climb trees, whizz very very fast on his scooter and give me a heart attack everytime he falls over, which happens a lot and he gets rather too many holes in the knees of his trousers!

With M being the fifth child I have learned the hard way that on the one hand spending lots on children’s clothes can be a waste if they stain or rip them minutes into the first wear or on the other hand if they are too cheap they just aren’t hard wearing enough. However I do love the smart formal clothes that Vertbaudet offer which high street shops don’t, as well as hard wearing outfits and clothes for everyday that won’t break the bank.

I am also conscious that come January,  M won’t be needing so many clothes as he’ll be in school uniform during the week and so I want to make sure he has good quality long lasting clothes that look smart but are comfortable enough for him to play in. I was asked to review some clothes from Vertbaudet and I chose the outfit shown in the photos. A t-shirt and trousers outfit made from a cotton mix, the trousers have an elasticated waist and have the feel of jogging bottoms and stretch allowing M to move and run around without restrictions, as I am sure you can see. The patch on the knee is only for show unfortunately but perhaps I could patent the idea of putting hidden knee pads into boys trousers. That would save a few scuffed and grazed knees. The material for both the trousers and the long sleeved t-shirt is very soft and feels good quality, they have also washed up beautifully and been dried in the tumble dryer several times and still look like new. It’s a shame the t-shirt isn’t made of slightly thicker material for this time of year just for a bit of extra warmth but this has firmly become one of M’s favourite outfits that he pulls out himself to wear.

I think it’s safe to say that we would definitely recommend this outfit, at £25 which works out at £12.50 a piece it is comparable in price to shops on the high street but in my opinion of better quality.
