With two daughters in the house, one a teen and the other not far behind I am aware of how much longer they take getting ready in the morning compared to the boys, leaving little time for breakfast. And I detest them grabbing a cereal bar packed with goodness knows what. If they had time they would happily sit down and have a bowl of yogurt and strawberries, except they don’t have time. So, this breakfast strawberry smoothie are the perfect solution. They can be made the night before so are ready to drink in the morning. If making these for an adult who needs an energy boost, I would add one or two teaspoons of Maca powder to the mix before blending but for children leave it out.

Interesting recipe but I will probably try to make it without adding yogurt, hopefully it will taste good.
I like the yogurt for the added protein but yes it will still be fine without it, you’ll probably have to up the milk a bit
I went through a stage of making smoothies for breakfast, but the last few times I didn’t put my smoothie machine together right and ended up having to clean fruit juice out of the kitchen cupboards – kinda put me off making them! But these look so lovely I am tempted to try again!
Ooooo, no that doesn’t sound fun. I am always a bit paranoid whenever I use my blender and even hold the lid down “just in case” 🙂
Yum! They look and sound so good x
Thank you, the children like them 🙂
