It would seem that all little boys are mad on Iron Man, and Lego’s collaboration with Marvel’s Super Heroes is no exception seeing how much six year old M plays with his Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle set. It comes with three figures, Iron Man, Aldrich Killian and War Machine plus accessories. The boat has a secret compartment to hide out in and an ‘exploding’ buoy. The set has enough to keep little ones amused using their imagination for a good length of time, of course M likes having battles between the figures using their weapons which include missiles and a cannon.
This set is recommended for ages 6-12 years and M did manage to build this totally unaided which was probably a first for him, I think he felt very proud that he did it himself. I liked watching his determination as he followed the instructions in the booklet provided. He made a couple of mistakes but rectified them to get the finished product to play with.
The set costs £19.99 but we all know that Lego is pretty robust, and lasts forever. Definitely a set we would recommend.
