…nowhere to go is the saying but I am determined to give this beautiful dress a proper airing soon. I love shopping for pretty items of clothing so was thrilled when Coast Stores asked me if I would like to review one of their dresses. Decisions, decisions…I eventually settled on this lovely Marica Blouse dress. It is something I can wear on an evening out or just as perfect for a lunch date or meeting. For the purpose of showing it off to you though I had my twelve year old take pictures of me the other night. We had a laugh doing this *ahem* photo shoot! A first for both of us and I needed a glass of wine to calm my nerves, of course.
I don’t like having bare arms when I go out so I love the sheer sleeves, and the flattering ruffles of this dress are so pretty. Made from 100% polyester it has a silk like feeling about it. Trimmed in black on the ruffles and cuffs, and a black tie belt that can be worn at the front, to the side or at the back finishes the dress off. Just so you are aware, I have always found Coast clothes on the small side, usually I am an UK size 8/10 on the bottom and 10/12 up top so I ordered a UK size 12 which was fine but it wouldn’t hurt to lose a few pounds.
I also like the fact that this dress can look so different depending on what you wear with it. In the photos I have worn opaque black tights and very high heel shoes as I would for an evening out but this would look just as good with sheer natural tights or for a more casual look with tight black jeans and worn as a long tunic.
Do you know the feeling you get when you put on something beautiful and you feel good and your confidence is boosted? Well, this dress makes me feel that way. Costing £125 the dress isn’t something that most of us would or could afford to buy everyday but saved for that special occasion when you know you really want to stand out from the crowd it is perfect.
Now, I need somewhere to christian this dress… this single mother of five doesn’t seem to be in much demand but can cook and bakes good cakes. 😉
