I’ve already written about how home is where the heart is and where my children are and that is so true. However, I have to admit to feeling a little home sick now a month after our move. Reality setting in I expect, the realisation that actually this is it…we’re not going back. Also the uncertainty of the future, it is still up in the air. I don’t dare say what if, or what is going to happen long term…if I do I find it hard to breathe so I am trying to stay positive and put in my cosmic order. Surely something has got to go right soon?
I am sure regular visitors to my blog will know that I particularly loved our garden and I am struggling at the moment with not being able to get some space and run off some tension quite so easily now. I even try and hide in the garden when I am on the phone…but they find me. That’s my children by the way, not little green men in case you all think I’ve gone crazy. 😉
Anyway, enough of the depressing, self absorbed stuff…this morning I discovered this in our new garden…isn’t it beautiful. And our house smells of gorgeous lavender that we cut from the garden ( I have plans for that) and this is home for now and there is always a positive slant on anything negative and at the moment that is what I am focussing on.
I posted this for The Gallery over at Sticky Fingers… pop over to Tara’s blog to see more on this week’s theme ‘Home’

keep on trucking girl!!
your photo says it all, amongst the chaos of moving, the ‘not being what you might have thought it would be’ there’s beauty and hope, which if we sit down for a second we notice, sometimes it’s reminders in the smallest of things…what a BEAUTIFUL flower, can i order a few seeds please???
hope it settles for you, sending good energy across to you,
tamsyn xxx
Thanks for your lovely comment. Much appreciated x
When I left the family home in 2006 it took a long time for me to adjust to living in a different house that was the best I could manage at the time, but not as nice or as convenient as the one I had left. I hope that your children are doing well, mine adjusted very quickly. It does get better, I promise xx
Thanks so much. I really appreciate all your support. X
After three years here,I still miss my old house/neighborhood and I was the one that wanted to move in the first place!
I’m glad you are trying to focus on the positive, that is something I definitely need to work on! Keep your chin up. Despite all the uncertainties that lie ahead, you are on a good path.
Much, much love to you and the children. xx
Thanks so much Gigi. Xx
Lavender and a beautiful flower. The garden sounds lovely.
Awww thank you. X
Beautiful flower. Lets hope you and the family bloom as beautifully in your new house. x
Thank you! X
That is beautiful. I know that it hasn’t been easy, but I hope you find your place here and things settle down. xx
Thanks Susan. I’m just being silly! 😉
Oh, sorry you feel homesick – it’s a horrible feeling. I grieved for my old house for weeks when we moved (and we were only moving a couple of miles away!) but am very settled now. What a stunning picture – great that you can take pleasure in flowers like that. Your garden must be lovely! I haven’t seen you much before so not up with your move – where did you move to/from?
Thank you…actually we didn’t move very far at all which makes it all a bit easier. 🙂
Hello you, I haven’t been by in ages and I apologise, I need more hours in my day.
So you’ve moved and you’re settled in, well done. It is hard at the beginning but it will get better and this is the first step towards the new you. To that I raise my glass and wish you every success.
Maybe the beautiful flower you found in the garden is an omen that you’re in the perfect place at the right time xxx
Thank you Mari. X
