It’s no secret that I was very sad to leave my home. It was the one house that I have never felt scared in, the one house that I haven’t had to ring people up because of weird bumps in the middle of the night. I loved my home, even though it was large it felt homely and inviting.
Unfortunately circumstances meant that the house had to be sold and being all last minute I then couldn’t find a house to rent. It seems that the rental Market is as stagnant as the buying and selling one.
However literally ten days before we completed on the sale I found a very lovely house to rent.

We moved in on a Wednesday but the ‘old’ house needed cleaning so on the Thursday I had to spend the day there…all I wanted to do was get ‘home’. Already my ‘home’ wasn’t home anymore. My children were at home and I realised immediately that home would always be where the heart is and that is my children. We don’t need all the frills..we have each other and that is the most important thing in the world! At the end of the day I know that we still have more than some people have. I will be eternally grateful for what I have been given. Money doesn’t buy you love but home is certainly where your family is!

  5. For me home will always be where my family are. I have learned that as long as I have the boys and Mad Dad that we will always be fine and together we can take on the world

  6. When I started reading this post my thought of a comment was how you ended it. Just reading this blog this year I would say that the most important part was your family and as long as they are there it really doesn’t matter where you are 🙂 x

Wishing you happy times there x

  7. You are so right! I’ve loved every house we’ve lived in, but I always find that home is where the people I love the most reside. I hope you are getting settled and enjoy your new “home”. xx
