One of my favourite books last year was The Help by Kathryn Stockett so I was delighted, at least I hope it does it justice, to hear that a film has been made of it.
The book focuses on three women in 1960’s Mississippi from different backgrounds who become unlikely friends and allies. ‘The Help’ is a real eye opener at the appalling racism and discrimination going on at the time. It is a deeply moving yet beautiful book filled with hope, humour, strength and courage as the friends do something controversial and dangerous.

I loved the book. It was so real. One of those books that made you look inside yourself. I cannot wait to see the film.
I missed the book and will probably miss the movie an catch it two years down the line! But it does sound very good
