Look no further for Festive baking inspiration….need a last minute Christmas Cake recipe? It’s here. Or a last minute Christmas pudding recipe? That’s here too. Are you snowed in or are the children driving you crazy? Make some edible Christmas presents or stained glass cookies with them then….

I am thrilled to be hosting this Christmas Baking Carnival and I think you’ll agree that the following recipes are mouth watering inspirations!

First up  Cathy at Nuture Store has posted very lovely Stained Glass Gingerbread Cookies, I am definitely going to cook these.

-Next we have a Christmas Pudding recipe from Mum in Awe which is packed full of delicious dried and fresh fruits and a generous helping of Irish Whisky. I’ve never made a Christmas pudding before but this is tempting me to take the plunge!

– Prepare to be very tempted by Utterly Scrummy’s Ma in Law’s Eggnog truffles! A perfect after Christmas dinner treat or as a gift for someone.

– Kim at Cakes from Kim has made wonderful Florentines from cornflakes. You must check them out!

– How about a savoury festive veggie  Comfort Pie made with peanut butter?  You will find this at Chris’ Thinly Spread. I want it now! It looks very very good!

– Claire has shared with us her Auntie Joy’s Easy Peasy Christmas Cake which can be made at short notice. Claire recommends this with blue cheese and a glass of port. That sound was me licking my lips loudly!

– Utterly Scrummy shares another fabulous recipe with us, cute Muffin Size Christmas Cakes. Mmmm….

Do pop over to Homemademummy for gorgeous Chocolate Florentines. I will have to make them and as Cathy says they would make wonderful presents. I am thinking they would be a lovely gift to give to the teachers at the end of term.

-Patty at Reasons for Chocolate has made Chocolate Mint Layer Bars

Don’t they look delicious.

Want to know how to make Father Christmas Bread? Well Chris at Thinly Spread and her children show us how. It is brilliant!

You can find a recipe for Christmas Tree Cookies here on Cherished By Me.

Last but not least the very busy Utterly Scrummy has made Cherry Chocolate Lollipop Cookies which I know would be a big hit in this household!

A late addition to the carnival, Utterly Scrummy really has been extremely busy, Homemade Gifts feature on this post of after dinner mints and vanilla and cinnamon shortbread stars.

Thank you so much for everyone that has taken part, it’s been a pleasure looking at all your recipes and I hope to be able to find the time to try a lot of them out.
