Something exciting is about to happen……it is called Your Shape:Fitness Evolved. This is a brand new Kinect game for the XBox by Ubisoft. I was lucky to have a go of this amazing game at a special launch night. It’s hard to put in words but standing in front of the box it actually puts your body into the game and shows all of your movements in real time. It is a revolutionary fitness game with various workouts including Cardio, Thai Chi, Yoga, Boxercise and Martial Arts as well as workouts from ‘trainers to the stars’. You can choose to have a personal trainer, track your progress and gain precise feedback. I can honestly say that when doing the exercises you really feel as though you are ‘in the zone’. It is very strange and surreal …..but in a fab way!

This video is a bit shaky but it shows my sister in law doing one of the exercises and then someone else doing a Thai Chi class. I hope you can get an idea of how great it is because I really really want this game.

You obviously need an Xbox 360  to play this game as well as Kinect. The RRP is £39.99 and it is suitable for ages  3+. It is due to be released on 10th november 2010.  I don’t get that excited over things very often but really did love this…..I would hope that because it does actually put you into the game alongside your virtual trainer it would keep my attention long enough to do it regularly as part of my fitness schedule, especially with the winter coming up which will hamper my running a bit.
