When I first saw the posts and tweets about CyberMummy 2010, a conference by Bloggers for Bloggers, I was very interested. First and foremost because I thought it was a good excuse to try and escape for the day and secondly a chance to meet face to face, people that I feel I know through twitter and through their blogs.
Then as time went on and more speakers were added to the line up and then the agenda for the day was posted I became really excited. For someone that doesn’t have time to take blogging seriously or read up on all the things I could do it seems that it will be a jam-packed day full of information. My only worry now is how I’m going to fit it all in……and chat with all those bloggers that I’m excited to meet. I’m also really scared and apprehensive as I’m very shy so if you see a long curly brown haired 5’3″ lady looking lost or embarrassed please take pity. A kind benefactor has also arranged for me to stay at the conference hotel so I am hoping that I will get the opportunity to spend extra time with those other bloggers staying in London after the conference.
So, who am I?
I am a thirty something mother of five children…the eldest will be sixteen at the weekend ( gulp) and the youngest is two. They keep me very very busy and life can be very chaotic and sometimes fraught. We live in beautiful rural England surrounded by stunning views and sheep. Recently I have discovered how much I enjoy taking photos….I haven’t a clue what I’m doing I just point and shoot but one day hopefully I will have the time to actually read the instruction manual that came with the camera. I obviously enjoy blogging, just wish I had more time to spend on it. I love reading although this has taken a back burner recently….so many other things that need doing. And…..I love shopping though *sob* this is window shopping of late.
