Do you ever have a good idea and then wonder what on earth were you thinking?
For a while now I have been suggesting to number two son, Big E, that he should start his own blog……anything that might get him off the playstation 3 for a while and involve some English…..maybe maths somewhere……web design, creativity….get the picture? When I told him about notSupermum ‘s forthcoming trip to LA….his ears suddenly pricked up. He is quite good at the playstation and he loves filming and putting videos on to YouTube so I really thought he could put these skills to good use and combine a little bit of blogging with it…….
Wasn’t it half term last week? When did son decide that yes he does indeed want to start this new and exciting project…you guessed correctly….about 4pm Sunday afternoon, only a mere few hours before school was due to re-open. Being the kind mum that I am, or is that control freak, I ended up staying up into the wee hours setting the blog up…..I did it all on my own! They’ll be no stopping me soon. I am quite proud that I did this, I struggled when moving this blog across to self-hosted WordPress, so thought we may as well start as we may like to go on…..I was so hyped up after doing it I was still tossing and turning at 2.30am!
Then today, when I should have been doing my own blog posts catching up after the holidays, I played around all day creating what I thought was a wonderful site ( knowing that it really wasn’t mine to play around with in the first place) Big E came home and decided he wants a darker blue….yes a different shade of blue!! Arghhh……I liked the colours that I chose, I thought it looked very sleek, swish, professional etc…..but what do I know, I’m not a thirteen year old. Sooo we now have a different shade of blue and I have been helping him doing all the little itty bitty bits for it. It’s still in it’s creation stage but I’ll let you know how he gets on when he eventually does do a post.
Me and my ideas…..daughter now wants one!

What a good mum you are, can I please be adopted so that you can change mine to self hosted wordpress too as I have no clue where to start lol x

Arghhhh….no the move over was a very sweaty worrying time which is why I said we will start off with wordpress in the first place. The small cost was worth the pain. Good luck if you choose to switch. X
Great idea to encourage your son to write a blog.
Not so sure about getting roped in to set the whole thing up though – I bet you nearly exploded when told your choice of blue was the wrong shade!!
