This weeks prompt for Tara’s The Gallery was ‘Ugly’. I have found this really hard because what I would consider ugly are things that I couldn’t possibly photograph, for example…worms. Yuk!

I couldn’t decide between these pictures but they all represent ‘Ugly’ to me……………………………….
First we have my peeling window sill, I could literally cry looking at this because I saved up last summer to have the outside woodwork painted to get the house looking at it’s best ready to sell, now look what’s happened. It’s not just ugly, it’s very very annoying!
Now, I defy anyone to argue that a washing line is not ugly….if it had lots of beautiful white laundry blowing in the wind it could perhaps be classed as beautiful but on it’s own it looks ugly and bare.
This following picture is something that in my opinion looks awful at this time of year but in just a very short space of time it will have beautiful flowers on it and look very pretty.

ugly washing whirler! but beautiful garden!

Thank you Wendy. :0)
How annoying when you had paid for it to be done, is there no come back on the people who did it? I agree with you about clothes driers; I got rid of mine partly because it was ugly and partly because the kids filled in the hole in the ground where it had been and I couldn’t find it again! I now have a line strung between the garage and the house which is fairly invisible except when it has washing flapping on it and then I find it beautiful! Great photos!

Thank you. Yes I think I need to see if they can do it again. I’m not holding out much hope though. Must admit I use the tumble drier a lot.
Great topic choice – almost did the same thing myself (where to start!).

Thank you very much. :0)
Some peeling paint can look beatiful, but I agee, not the sort on your window sill. Very Ugly

I can’t believe how bad it is. :0(

Thank you. :0)
You’re moving? You just made over your beautiful bedroom – but I guess most of it you can take with you. I hope you find somewhere as lovely as your current home….
I love spinny washing lines – I guess because they are so English!

Not moving through choice. :0(
I will take as much interior stuff as I can. :0)
Really? Do you not get them then?
Must admit I use the tumble dryer mostly. It’s a pain hanging it all out, then it rains…etc ;0S
Oh, I’m with you on washing lines, they are a pain. Ours broke a few months ago, dumping clean washing all over the muddy grass, even worse!

Oh that is sooo annoying, or if the washing blows away and gets all dirty.
Yeah, washing lines are definitely ugly!

Especially the rotary ones. They serve a purpose though. ;0)

Ah, I can so relate to the peely window ledge – we have one like that INSIDE the house, booo 🙁
You should re-photograph the tree when itgets all it’s flowers back – ugly duckling to beautiful swan 🙂
I was totally stumped this week – cheated a tiny bit!
Not quite so bad inside but lots of swollen ledges unfortunately. :0(
I thought of taking a picture when it flowers.
