Do we really care that Cheryl Cole has separated from her husband Ashley? My thoughts are of what she must be going through. I can only surmise but expect she feels devastated, humiliated, sad, angry and she has to face the media. Be it next week or in a months time she will have the British press hounding her, all vying for that first picture. The big bad media, the downside of fame and fortune. That makes me sad, looking in from the outside she doesn’t deserve to have that awful task ahead.
As for Ashley, oh another Chelsea footballer by the way, I’m sure this won’t affect him in the long term but he will have to face the wrath of a huge number of Cheryl supporters. She has certainly won the hearts of many British people, I think Ashley is in for a rough ride. If the stories about him are true then perhaps he deserves it. Obviously no one knows what goes on behind closed doors but on the surface Cheryl is beautiful, successful, popular, rich- no hope for us ‘normals’ then. ;0/
Apparently family breakups are a sad fact of modern family life! I think the sad fact is that someone can state that. My opinion is that as a nation we are losing respect….for our wives, our husbands, our mothers, fathers, teachers, the law. Infidelity has always happened…it’s one of the ten commandments and one of the seven deadly sins, but if this is modern life then we don’t want it!
I know I have already ranted about this but…..I don’t want my children being brought up on stories, that are unavoidable as they even make mainstream news bulletins, about pop stars and footballers or glamour models marriage breakdowns. I think it just enhances the lack of commitment or respect their idols have for ‘loved’ ones.
So…press, please shut up about Cheryl Cole , leave her in peace, many of us may be quietly thinking, ” alleluia go girl” but it’s her business, her life and hard enough for those of us not exposed to cameras everyday.

Obviously – being from the States – I have no clue what you are talking about. But can only surmise he got caught cheating ala Tiger Woods? I agree with you 100% – our “stars” be they atheletes, celebrities, actors, etc. are really not “role” models for our children. And as for respect? I think it’s an epidemic – no one seems to respect anyone anymore – it’s all about “me, me, me.” And I’m sick of it. And, as a result, you can be sure that my child gets an earful about it every time the subject comes up. I figure if nothing else he will not grow up to be a self-involved jerk – or he’ll have to deal with the wrath of Mom! Oops – sorry for the rant!

Not a fan of either of them, so dont care about them .. as long as they dont have kids, I imagine they will split without too much bother xx
