After continous snowfall yesterday and late into the evening virtually all the tracks we had made in the garden yesterday were gone this morning. I just had to take a photo of these new tracks though. Excuse the quality, they were taken on my phone.
We love trying to work out which creatures have been scuttling around the garden after dark. We have rabbits, badgers and deer frequenting the place.

I was quite worried this morning as the snow was very deep on the drive….where do you draw the line? I’m used to driving four wheel drives but the car I have now is a two wheel drive and I wasn’t sure if it would make it through the deep snow. In some places it was a foot deep. It ploughed through it. Relief.

We then had to negotiate the snowy roads, I was so thankful there was soft snow on the ice and we didn’t see another car. The roads looked so different. It’s funny how unusual conditions completely change the panorama. It certainly was beautiful.
Fortunately Big H got to school safely in time for his second mock GCSE exam of the day. I just hope the snow stays away whilst he travels home later.

The others, pleased to have a second day off school persuaded me to take them sledging.

Big E for some strange reason wanted to be buried in snow. I played no part in it!
