If you can’t eat gluten sometimes it can feel as though you miss out on all the fun things to eat, I know because I have one child with coeliac disease and another with a gluten intolerance, and over the years I’ve seen how sad they have been. However thanks to the Genius Gluten Free range of ever increasing breakfast goods available this won’t happen any more.
The collection includes pancakes, crumpets, spicy fruit loaf, muffins and more from the number one gluten-free bakery brand in Britain.
Genius has just three simple rules when adding a new product to its range: it has to taste great, it has to be the best quality and of course, it has to be gluten-free. Founded by professionally trained chef, Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, who developed Genius bread after failing to find good quality gluten-free and wheat-free bread suitable for her gluten intolerant son.
Genius gluten free sent us a hamper of products to try (I have to admit we are already regular purchasers of the pancakes, which are a big hit here with the two children who can’t eat gluten).
The spicy fruit loaf tastes great toasted with a generous helping of butter, it really doesn’t need anything else, however I think it would also make a great base for a gluten free bread pudding!
Sliced Spicy Fruit Loaf
o Delicious combination of sultanas, currants, raisins and spices
o Hint of cinnamon in every slice
o Great for breakfast
o Perfect as a snack
o Add your own toppings
o Available in Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose, RRP: 2.50
The muffins make great snacks, a grab n’ go breakfast or are good for lunchboxes.
Blueberry Muffins
o Delicious on their own or warmed through
o Quick and easy food – perfect as a snack or for kids’ packed lunch boxes
o Available in Tesco, RRP: £2.00
Pancakes, oh pancakes…so many ways to serve them, with syrup, cream, ice cream, bacon. Make your child love you that little bit more by serving up pancakes, syrup and bacon! The children say these pancakes are as good as my home made ones so I don’t bother making them anymore.
Pancakes
o Light, fluffy, golden
o Gluten, wheat and milk free
o Great for breakfast
You can’t go wrong with buttery crumpets, I personally like savoury flavours for breakfast so the perfect breakfast match for me are eggs…however if my children are choosing they love them topped with honey.
Crumpets
o Great for a warming breakfast
o Can get creative with toppings, for example butter or jam
o Available in Sainsbury’s, Asda and Waitrose, RRP: £2.00
We have been really impressed with the Genius gluten free products and would highly recommend them. They are a big hit with my children, they taste just as good as the same products containing gluten so no one feels as though they are missing out. For the increasing numbers of people who can’t eat gluten these are great addition to add to your shopping trolley.
This post has been written in partnership with Genius but all all words and opinions are my own.

I haven’t found the pancakes yet but a big fan of the blueberry muffins! 🙂
Oh that’s a pain! I hope they appear somewhere near you soon x
My husband has just started to cut gluten out of his diet. I’ll have to see if I can pick some if these up in the supermarket for him.
They’re a really good choice and my son’s favourite bread is made by Genius as well
I love Genius fruity loaf and often have a loaf in the freezer. Sometimes for breakfast but often a slice to keep me going in the afternoon. Bex and Oscar loves the pancakes too, I never get a look in with them!
That’s not fair, you should hide them! 😉
