I’ve shouted many times before how much I love using yogurt in my recipes, it is especially good for making cakes moist in gluten free baking but it is also a great substitute if you are trying to reduce the fat content of recipes. Onken have brought out this fab little pocket book of #OnkenTips full of recipes from their Instagram community, to bring a spoonful of inspiration to breakfast, sweet and savoury dishes by adding yogurt to everyday recipes.
Always looking for shortcuts and delicious things to cook, I couldn’t resist trying out @MissMamo’s delicious garlic bread, so quick, so easy and oh so tasty! I love it. It’s definitely going to be my go to when I fancy carbs. As it doesn’t contain yeast my body is very happy too. It definitely needs topping with butter as MissMamo suggests and I tried topping it with chilli too…next time I’m going to experiment by putting other flavours into the dough mixture such as spring onion and cheese.
Here is my garlic bread topped with chilli butter…homemade of course
The great thing about the #OnkenTips book is that these are tips, there is nothing complicated or long winded, these are quick ways you can make tasty changes to recipes that would be on your table anyway. Have you ever thought of using yogurt in your mash? Or using yogurt to make your breakfast pancakes?
You’ll be thrilled to know that the tips are free for everyone to view online here. Also, a number of Tesco customers can submit their own yogurt tip via the website to be in with a chance of winning an exclusive copy of the instagram book.
Next recipes I am going to try are @StudioKarat’s mango lassi and @DollyBakes’ chocolate honeycomb bundt cake. Mmmmm.
