Ufuud is an online shop created by Cipriano Moneta and Christian Prazzoli whose ethos is all about getting artisan Italian food to those that want to eat like an Italian with top quality authentic Italian products.
I was lucky to get to try some of the products available, as Ufuud ships (within 48/72 hours) to many European countries including the UK, so there is no excuse for not being able to obtain unique Italian food. For orders over €95 shipping is free.
My order arrived in three days and as per Ufuud’s policy was packaged in an isothermal container with gel packs to keep the fresh products cold as the site has lots of cold cuts to tempt including salami and prosciutto as well as Italian cheese.
There is a huge range to choose from on the Ufuud site, my children loved looking at the different pastas and we tried giant sized pasta tubes (forgot to take a photo!) which I served with a creamy ricotta homemade cheese sauce. There are many different types of pasta that you don’t usually get in the UK, and definitely not in most supermarkets, for instance, buckwheat gnocchetti and truffle chitarrone made with black truffle flakes.

I also included a range of jars in my order that included giardiniera pickled vegetables which I used to make a delicious homemade vegetable pizza.
I added the Salami dei Monaci to some of the pizzas.
For a decadent adult treat, try the Dark Chocolate and Chestnut paste as a topping to pancakes.
The quality of the products is reflected in the prices, it isn’t hard to spend enough to get free shipping, but with Ufuud you can eat like an Italian as these are premium true Italian products. My order came to £84.60 but this site is a foodie lovers paradise, there are gifts galore too with premium tartufi chocolates, preserves and amaretti biscuits.
The site can keep you quite engrossed as there is so much information on the background of various products, for instance right now is a piece on the Montella IGP chestnut and where each product has originated from is also indicated within the information so you do get a feel of how important product sourcing is to Ufuud.
As well as an ingredients list each product description comes with a serving or recipe suggestion which is really helpful, especially if you are not completely au fait with the products. You will certainly wow your friends and family with some new recipes using Ufuud’s produce. New products are highlighted for easy access on the site. An online chat option is also available if you need any advice on the products or ordering process. There is also an option to receive a newsletter from Ufuud with more recipe and product suggestions.
I would definitely recommend the Ufuud site, for anyone who is a fan of authentic premium Italian food products you will not be disappointed.
Disclosure: I received these Ufuud products for free but all opinions are my own.
