CheeriosMy children do like a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and quite frankly I am just pleased that they go to school full ready for the day ahead.

I was truly aghast when I heard that lots of children go to school without any breakfast at all. That is so sad and really not a good start to the  day for them.

Anyway we were sent a box of Cheerios to try, and I was sent a beautiful bouquet of gorgeous roses and sunflowers.

My children were already fans of the little round whole grain O shaped cereal but it now now has added vitamin D.

With so little sunshine in the UK, and I think an increase in using total sunblocks and covering up the sun’s rays there is a risk of vitamin D deficiency but each 30g serving of Cheerios contains at least 18% of the recommended intake of vitamin D and calcium.

So, did the children notice any difference to the taste? No and they still love Cheerios. Will we be buying it still? Yes we will. So, while the sun may be evasive at this time of year, hopefully my children are getting a little boost in their vitamin D stores thanks to Cheerios.

Disclosure: We were sent a box of Cheerios and also a lovely bouquet of flowers, however opinions are all my own.
