Poodle's Little Palace

I think I’ve mentioned before that I’ve never really bought Lego for the girls before because they just didn’t seem interested in it which is a shame because I loved it as a child. Although, there was only ‘freestyle’ Lego when I was a child, none of the themed sets that you can get now. However Lego bought out Lego friends aimed specifically at girls a few years ago but by then I thought it was too late for my daughters.

Lego sent us Poodle’s Little Palace recently along with an Ice cream parlour and a Pet salon in smaller sets.

Ten year old ‘I’ has had such a great time firstly building the sets and then playing with them for hours, I can’t tell you happy that makes me feel. It is so lovely that she is using her imagination and whiling away the hours playing with something that doesn’t involve a screen. I regret dismissing Lego for her and her older sister but thinking about it their older brothers Lego tended to be themed on what we would think of as typical boys stuff, ie; Star Wars & Lego Hero Factory (and I’m not saying that there should be different toys depending on gender, just that my daughters have never been interested in playing with their brothers toys) It’s good that she is at an age able to make the Lego set on her own and it took her quite a while to build it all.

‘I’ has loved pampering the little dogs in the parlour, quite apt as our puppy goes to the Poodle Parlour too. The ice cream cart is lovely too. I would highly recommend it, we all know Lego is strong and sturdy but I will most definitely be adding to our Lego Friends collection.
