Chewits carried out some research for some cost saving tips for a fun half term. Hopefully the sun will continue to shine and we will all be able to make the most of our local parks, always a good fun time without spending any money at all unless the ice cream van turns up!
We were sent some of Chewits new Chewie Gum to try, it comes in three flavours; Strawberry and Banana, Lemon & Tropical. The bubble gum balls come in sweet little oblong boxes which are very appealing to the younger children. I normally try and avoid letting my children have chewing gum for as long as possible until they are old enough to go and buy it themselves but being sent this bubble gum reminded me of how much fun I used to have trying to blow the biggest bubbles with it. So, I thought I would let the younger children try some under my supervision reminding the five year old that you only chew it and he is not to under any circumstances swallow it. They all have their favourite flavours but the lemon one seems to be the most popular here. I liked the strawberry and banana flavour best but it is a little bit too sweet for me. Oh, and my bubble making skills seem to have depleted with age…I could not make a huge bubble much to the childrens’ amusement!

You can win a Chewits hamper worth £25 filled with 12 packs of Chewie Gum, a tin full of Chewits and a Chewits mug and keyring by telling me in the comments section below your best tip for having a fun packed half term that won’t break the bank.
The competition will close at Midnight on Monday 3rd June 2013, the Judges decision will be final. Open to UK residents only, sorry.
