Back up, Back up, Back up….I’ve had a hairy couple of weeks. Literally the night before I opened my shop, news on that in another post, I realised that my blog was non existent. After doing a little investigation on Twitter it seemed that I wasn’t the only one with the same problem, many people that had sites hosted with the same hosting company were in the same predicament and not getting any answers from anyone. Had I backed up my blog? No!! How stupid is that.
With a little help from my twitter and blog friends the next day, I found out that my site would be accessible for twenty four hours only to allow people to remove their content and move it elsewhere. For that I am very grateful, in the frantic days before I had been so busy I hadn’t had time to even look at my blog so if I hadn’t noticed the problem I would have lost it all. But…I had a shop to open! This couldn’t have come at a worse time, I was so upset at the thought of losing precious photos and thoughts….
I was told about Vault Press by Ruth…so I quickly joined and backed up the blog so at least it was somewhere…and I was rescued by Dan who moved it all.
I have just got the photos back…Yay! Phew! Thank goodness! Still haven’t got my email address up and running yet so apologies if you are trying to get hold of me…I hope this will be sorted next week but tweet me if you need me urgently! 😉
