I love getting a bargain but I detest the sales which usually means I don’t go near a shop for virtually the whole of the month of January. You will never see me queuing for the Next sale on Boxing day, in fact I feel sad that the sales start as early as that and yearn for the old fashioned traditional January sales of long ago.

However, this year I have done pretty well, probably because I left it so long to venture into a shop that the items left now have up to 70% off and I have not been lulled into any impulsive buys that I don’t really want. I got a beautiful pair of silver pumps from Dune that will see me through the summer for £13, and some knitwear from Kew at up to half price but my best buy has to be this bag. I love it, and instead of paying £25 for it (which I wouldn’t have paid) I bought it for just £5. There were so many different colours and styles of these hand knitted Miss Etoile bags that the only trouble I had was choosing which one. It makes a lovely change from my little leather bag I usually take on a night out.

Anyone else done well in the sales this year?

  1. That’s beautiful, love the style and the colour. You’ve inspired me too, really need some clothes but thought I had missed the sale boat!

  2. I love sales so much I rarely pay full price for anything. I’ve not found anything spectacular lately though.

    1. It’s good to get a bargain when you aren’t looking for it isn’t it. 🙂
