We were very lucky when we moved into our house nearly six years ago that being recently refurbished the bathrooms were sparkling new and very modern. I think the bathrooms and the kitchens are what I would look at most in a house. We all like somewhere nice and clean to have a bath or shower don’t we.

I remember the first morning after we had moved in lying in the free standing bath with lots of bubbles filling it.  Little I who was two years old at the time climbed in and we looked out at the wonderful view across the countryside and I thought, “I love this house.” I will never forget that day, or that bath.

One thing that can make a difference in a bathroom is bathroom accessories . I loved looking for quirky accessories for our bathrooms. The children have fun but stylish ones and for my own bathroom I have modern chrome accessories. We even have a loo brush that is ‘disguised’ as a plant.  I like the accessories that UK Bathrooms have on their site, there is a lot of choice and they are very upmarket.

One thing I don’t have in my bathroom is a bathroom cabinet but I could I really do with one as they hide all manner of bathroom paraphernalia. That might stop the children from poking and prodding my skin creams.

I love the cabinet above, it would be perfect in my bathroom and I know exactly where it would go. Bathroom cabinets don’t have to be the traditional square glass/metal style. I believe it is good to introduce different textures into bathrooms too. Wood brings some warmth into what is often a cold looking room.

Every morning I have to wait in turn to use my shower, I have the best shower ever and the children love it. It doesn’t have a shower enclosure because it is so big, I know I’m lucky…but you can have so much fun with showers. There is such an array on offer. I love the completely plain glass look, although I have slogged many an hour in the past trying to keep the glass smear free. They do look good though.
