…VERRUCAS
I know it’s a bit of a horrible subject but over the years we’ve had a few verrucas, ones that have been particularly hard to get rid of. It appears to be the trend now that doctors like to let parents get rid of them rather than digging them out or freezing them. Did anyone ever have to wear those awful verruca socks in swimming lessons with the school? It was a great way to stick out like a sore thumb or lose all street cred. I’m just grateful I went to an all girls school.
In no particular order here are ways to get rid of the horrible things! Don’t ask me how any of these work just try which ever suits you. If that fails try something different. All of these methods involve putting said ‘item’ onto the verruca. 😉
- Banana skin
- Tea tree oil ( after years of persistent verrucas this was the only thing that worked with my son) Remember Tea Tree oil is highly toxic so keep out of reach of little ones
- Nail varnish painted onto the verruca (using this method at the moment & something is happening)
- Duct tape – change daily and remove at night
- Vinegar
Does anyone have any other methods to add?
I had no idea what you were talking about – so I googled it. Seems I’ve heard the bit about the nail polish and the duct tape before.
Ooops, wondering now what you call them? I’d never heard of either of them until very recently.
I really want to ask how you came up with this things to try, but at the same time I really don’t want to know.
In years to come when Baba has a verruca I am going to be shouting at you for how to get rid off it now I can see it xx
haha, no don’t ask. It’s a case of desperation when nothing else works. x
