I was very lucky and thrilled to be invited by ForeverBetter a Miele sponsored website,  the sponsor of Jasper Garvida, to his Spring Summer 2011 show for London Fashion week.

The evening began backstage where models were being preened and beautified ( which they really didn’t need) all very exciting and chaotic….and a little dog lay sleeping in a bag full of brushes and make- up! No….I’ve no idea either.

I was shocked at how tall the models were……they have the longest legs ……

As you can see in the photos candy floss balls were added to the models hair giving a bun of epic proportions and elongating the girls even more…pretty accessories were added for an even bigger effect.

I loved the music for the show…..not very good at naming it but take my word it was very apt and beautiful. The clothes? Very wearable…..by anyone! I could imagine wearing nearly all of the collection and fell in love with one dress in particular. Pretty, oh so pretty and the pinks and purples were right up my street. Of note were the corsages, beautiful little buttons, pencil thin belts at the waist and lots of pleats. I think these must all be on trend for next year…..but I’m no expert! Oh…and sequins again.

  5. With the exception of possibly that last dress, they’re actually wearable clothes! I think I’d give the candy floss hairdo a miss though!!

    1. Oh it was the last dress that was my favourite……definitely not a dress I could wear as a thirty something year old with five children though. 🙁

I loved the music too and looked it up when I got home – it’s by Robyn and is called Indestructible. Really pleased we got to say a brief Hello… May seems like eons ago! xxx
