He watched silently in the background….they knew nothing. Silly young things..pah! Little did they know that in a week or so they’d be gone. Their colours faded, their existence little more than dust.
He was wise…The Old One. He’d been battered and beaten over the years but he was strong….standing tall. He’d been privy to the secrets of many…secrets that he would hold dear, deep inside his strong body. Secrets that would never be whispered or passed on. He was aware of his gnarled limbs, but still he stood tall, knowing his beauty was majestic and longevity was on his side…..
