Coming up, the most tasty and easy treat you can make, cherry vanilla iced dessert, using just three ingredients it is naturally gluten and refined sugar free, and by changing to a dairy free yoghurt is easily dairy free, thus vegan too!
I am just a little bit pleased with myself…for I have made such a delicious dessert that is not only simple to make it only uses three ingredients. This cherry vanilla iced dessert will curb any sweet cravings you have, is packed full of goodness and the creamy deliciousness will trick your body into thinking it’s having a billion calories. Forget Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia…this is awesome (I know I’m blowing my own trumpet but believe me it is!)
Of course it helps that I made it using the Panasonic MJ-L500 Slow Juicer which has a frozen attachment making it perfect for those ‘I need something really really tasty and sweet now’ moments. If you have a blender you could give the ingredients a quick blitz, it won’t be quite the same texture but you’ll get a fair alternative.
Just three ingredients is all it takes…
I cannot tell you how creamy this dessert is, with just two tablespoons of natural yoghurt, it really is amazing and using the Slow Juicer means you get all the goodness from the cherries and the texture is something else!
Cherries are packed full of goodies including anti-oxidants, they help promote sleep, reduce inflammation, help reduce the risk of strokes and many more amazing benefits. Cherries go really well with vanilla so if you have some vanilla extract or paste use it, it takes this to another level.
For convenience I use pre-packed frozen cherries, it’s much easier, they’re always ready when I fancy a cherry and vanilla iced dessert hit and there is no faff de-stoning or freezing them.
Finally if you really need an extra special treat (I don’t believe you will as this is pretty fabulous anyway) mix a small spoon of dark chocolate chips into the cherry and vanilla iced dessert once it’s in the serving dish. I know…naughty, but dark chocolate is good for you!
