I like my food, a lot, in case you hadn’t guessed that already.
I like my food to satisfy my big appetite so I am a huge fan of the Meal Soups from Glorious! I find them perfect for the lunchtimes when I am famished and need something to really fill me up, but I find they are also great for evenings when I am just far too exhausted to do much more than open the Meal Soup and stick it into the microwave. However I am not the type to eat anything, just because I am hungry, it has to taste really good as well and the flavours of the Glorious! Meal Soup range tickle my taste buds too!
These soups are hearty, filling and if you’ve got a much smaller appetite than greedy guts (moi) they’ll easily stretch to serve two with some bread on the side! If you need to take your lunch on the go they are ideal to take to work and heat up there.
The Meal Soups come in five different flavours…
- Mumbai Lentil & Chickpea
- Moroccan Spiced Chicken
- Sunny Thai Chicken
- Tuscan Chicken & Orzo
- West African Chicken
and two of them are also gluten free.
If I had to decide a favourite it would be really really tough…it would be a toss up between the:
West African Chicken ‘A rich chicken soup with a melting pot of ingredients including chicken thigh for more flavour, black eye beans with a combination of warming West African spices, pulses and crazily loud calls of the rainforest birds.’ or the
Tuscan Chicken & Orzo ‘A chicken and orzo soup bursting with tomatoes and a beautiful balance of vegetables such as courgette, potato, carrot and spinach. A classic, inspired by long days wandering among Cypress trees and playing cards with friends, while the sun sets behind rolling Tuscan hills.’
However the Sunny Thai Chicken is also really good. I am not a big fan of the Mumbai Lentil & Chickpea soup as I find it too spicy, but my son loves it! All of the soups in this range are packed full of chunky ingredients, which I particularly like and helps make the soups into a real meal!
As someone who cooks a lot of soups these taste as good as homemade and don’t contain any ingredients you wouldn’t use at home!
