When you can’t eat gluten it can sometimes feel as though the whole food world is conspiring against you. Having two teenagers who are not able to eat gluten we are always on the look out for gluten free foods. Especially great for these teens are ones that need as little preparation as possible so what better than hearty, filling soups! Which is exactly what Glorious! provide, eight gluten free soups from their range. Six are SkinnyLicious ones and two are the heartier meal soups for those with a big appetite or when you want it for dinner!
Teenagers love nothing better than being able to open the fridge, and have something tasty to eat in minutes which is why we love Glorious! soups. Minimal preparation, great flavours and gluten free! I am a fan of these soups because there is no compromise in flavour, they are literally jam packed with herbs, spices and vegetables and taste as good (if not better) as homemade soups.
The soups all taste absolutely great, and they don’t need any extras, however if you fancy adding a dollop of natural yogurt or some toasted cashews to give the SkinnyLicious range …. it works. I don’t recommend doing this with the Meal Soup range as they are super filling!
Just because you can’t have gluten doesn’t mean no croutons either… make your own…
- Get some of the uncut gluten free bread available and cut a thick slice.
- Cut this into chunks and drizzle olive oil and sprinkle a generous shake of garlic powder over the bread.
- Place on a baking tray and cook in a preheated oven at 200ºC/ Gas Mark 6 for approximately 15 minutes until crispy!
The Glorious! gluten free range include:
- Singapore Crushed Tomato
- Fragrant Thai Carrot
- Goan Tomato & Lentil
- New England Butternut Squash
- Texan Four Bean Chilli
- West African Chicken
- Cuban Creamed Corn
- Mumbai Lentil & Chickpea
The Singapore Crushed Tomato is SkinnyLicious but still really substantial with the addition of basmati rice. I also love love the fragrant Thai carrot soup, mmmm. And the gorgeous West African chicken soup with it’s chunks of chicken, potato and red peppers would easily be suitable for dinner and has a lovely warming kick which makes the tongue zing!
