To celebrate Spain and New Zealand being added to Three Mobile’s list of Feel At Home destinations, I was invited to a “Wines of the Feel At Home World” tasting event.
Three’s Feel At Home service lets you use your phone abroad at no extra cost in 16 destinations. So you can tweet, text and blog while abroad, without the worry of a big bill when you return home. Find out more about the service, including where you can use it, here: www.three.co.uk/discover/phones/feel_at_home
As you can see there were a lot of wines and spirits to try out…many with beautifully tempting bottles that actually hid either a pleasurable
experience or, a toe-curling one. That pretty white bottle of Chinese sake…pure evil!

Feel At Home from Three is a great step forward in keeping costs down when travelling and whilst I don’t have any travel plans so far for this year it would have come in handy last year when I travelled to Ibiza, Florida and Ireland. Even though I used wifi for most calls I still had to text home a few times and it is scary how quickly the cost escalates. This is definitely something to consider if you have any holidays or business trips abroad planned.
Wines of the world, sounds right up my street! x
I don’t go abroad but I can imagine how worried I’d be about getting a big bill from my mobile company if I did. The Feel at Home service would put my mind at ease 🙂
Wow, what a brilliant event at home!! And that’s so good about the charges – I always feel stressed taking my phone abroad so love the sound of this.
I think all phone providers ought to charge flat rates! .. but i am bias, i just hate paying bills 😉
My dream event – seriously! I bet it was such a fun evening.
This looks like a good time! haha
I can’t believe you didn’t like sake. I love sake!
What alovely scheme, it sounds really useful.
How did you like Lapponia? It’s such a reminder of home for me. I’m from Finland but been living here in Ecuador for 18 years. Hope you enjoyed it!
This is an excellent scheme – I wish that my mobile provider offered it.
I do love that you are now able to use your phone abroad without the extra cost
Sadly we are not that well travelled but what a great service
This sounds like a great idea, what a good event too. After a long day at work, a large glass of wine is always a welcome for me x
This is a great service. I had no idea they offer something like this.
Blimey wines of the world! Marvellous x
although im not a fan of alcohol, this sounds fantastic x
It sounds like a great event and fab that someone is finally doing something about the extortionate mobile prices abroad.
I hope you weren’t driving! All mobiles should be like this
Mobile costs while abroad can be crazy so anything that keeps them down is great in my book!
I think this is such a good idea, I know when my parents have been abroad they have used up so much credit keeping in touch. x
Wines of the world? You are talking my language!
Sounds like my kind of event. I think I’d have picked prosecco rather than chianti for Italy as we got engaged in Venice and had prosecco at our wedding.
This Lapponia liquor has very pretty bottle, would be great for making candle holder or lamp later on 😉
What a fantastic event to attend! I’ve gone teetotal for 2015 (while on a weight loss journey) but this is a very informative post for when I do start drinking wine again! 🙂
We lived in NZ for eight years, and two of those were down the road from Marlborough. I wasn’t much of a sav drinker til those years. Oh I miss them! x
Ooh glad I saw this I’ve been waiting for Spain to be added to the list for ages!
