So, Victoria Plumb would like to know what our interior style is, according to their quiz my style is ‘Elegant’ , *cough* I didn’t expect anything else dahlings…Apparently my style is most like Lady Mary Gillingham from Downton Abbey.

“Elegant and classy, you just adore period decor and style. You love the classics: subtle wallpaper, dark wood and rich colours. You have penchant for opulent fabrics and secretly covert a Steinway piano for your living room. You search antique fairs until you get the perfect piece. At home, your tastes are high-class classics; game pie, roast beef and all the trimmings or a fillet of plaice.”

Hmmm but you wouldn’t think that from the look of my shelf would you. Those shelves have been my lifeline for the last eight months whilst doing my first year at ‘Uni’. As you can see they contain my text books, DVD’s (because doing a degree from home involves a lot of learning that way), my notes, the all important dictionary…dare I admit that it did not get opened very much, far easier to do online! Then there is the ‘Writing essays for dummies’ book, stupidly I didn’t look at this until my very last assignment, and I should have looked at it a lot sooner. There are some great tips in there for even the most experienced writer.

The Neom organics candle in Moroccan Blush Rose was a birthday present from the children, love this fragrance. The Diptyque Violette candle smells, to me, of parma violets, and my mum loved them so it reminds me of her.

Now I have finished my first year I am hoping to move some of my not yet read novels that I hid at the bottom of the book shelves.

By taking the Victoria Plumb Great British Quiz you could win £250 to ‘sleb up your own shelfie, what an amazing prize! And thanks to The Tots 100 for teaming up with Victoria Plumb

  1. i do love your shelves – I’m crunching massively on all things antiquey atm. I have stripped and re-stained some wood in my lounge and I have spent ages walking around saying “I love my wood. I just love my wood!”
