Brie and Pear Puffs
I saw something similar and as you do just had to recreate it for dessert one Sunday with a generous dollop of extra thick cream.

  • 500g ready made puff pastry
  • 400g tin of pear halves
  • 6 slices of brie
  • Maple syrup
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 6 teaspoons of brown or demerara sugar
  1. Preheat the oven to 180ÂșC/ Gas mark 4
  2. Unwrap the pastry and divide into six squares
  3. Place a piece of brie in the centre of each square
  4. Top the brie with half a pear
  5. Drizzle a teaspoon of maple syrup onto the pear
  6. Fold the corners of the square diagonally and twist to seal to make six parcels
  7. Brush the parcels with the beaten egg
  8. Sprinkle the parcels with the sugar
  9. Bake in the oven for approximately 15-20 minutes until the pastry is cooked and golden brown
  10. Optional...hide any brown bits with a sprinkling of icing sugar! :)
