My children have always liked a night light in their bedrooms when they were little so M, aged four, was thrilled to be sent a blue Zebra lamp after having a night light that has been passed down from his siblings. The lamp takes pride of place on his bedside table.
The lamp is made from wood and paper in various designs including a goat, a horse and of course a blue zebra. The lamps have low voltage transformers, Child safety covers and child friendly inline switches and can be bought online from Wayfair
I was a little surprised that a couple of screws had to be attached to assemble the lamp although I realise it is to reduce the amount of packaging and for the sale price of £44 I thought the finish would have been of higher quality. However, it looks good lit up but is not too bright at night, is colorfully painted and friendly looking and doesn’t get too hot when left on for long periods of time. M loves it and likes being able to turn it off and on himself with the easily accessible switch.
I am not sure I would spend quite so much on a children’s lamp and think this lamp is slightly over priced but we do like it and it does look nice in M’s bedroom.
We award it three out of five cupcakes.
