The Gallery-One day in August… #Blogladesh

August 31, 2010 · 22 comments

All picked from our garden on Sunday 29th August 2010…..photographed on Sunday 29th August 2010……..three bloggers left for Bangladesh on Sunday 29th August 2010……my five children had plates piled high with food on Sunday 29th August 2010……..

Nine million children under five die every year….Three bloggers Sian, Josie and Eva flew to Bangladesh to raise awareness of the work Save The Children do and to publicise that Nick Clegg will at the end of September be at the UN summit in New York. This is the perfect opportunity to get world leaders to re-commit to the Millenium Development Goals which sadly are way off the 2015 target. Please visit the site and press for change.

This photo has been posted for the special #Blogladesh  Gallery this week…..the theme being to post a picture taken on Sunday 29th August 2010.

What a great store cupboard you have outside your kitchen! Are they representative of you and your 5 children too?

Fab photo! I tried to grow tomatoes and pumpkins this year… no pumpkins and THREE green tomatoes (on three plants!). I’m not so good with vegetables :) x

Thank you …we’ve been very lucky this year. :)

Very clever idea, Nova. So easy to take for granted what we have in this country, even fruit growing ‘for free’ in the garden is something the children in Bangladesh will probably never experience. Your children are very lucky to live somewhere so lovely. x
